1841 "The 1841 census shows Owen Trainor, farmer, to have 300 acres of land, 3 miles from Johnston's River Bridge. The census also informs us with information on his family. There were two males in the family under the age of 16, one male between the ages of 16 and 45 and one male between the ages of 45 and 60. This gives us a total of seven people in the family. This means that four children were no longer living at home. By comparing the birth dates with the age catagories in the census we can conclude that John and James were two of these four. We can also assume that the other two children were probably girls who married and have assumed a different surname." History of the Trainor Family On Prince Edward Island 1839-1992 by Reg G.
